At Woodham Walter C of E (VC) Primary School, we know that every day counts. Therefore, it is vital that children attend school every day. Whilst we recognise that illness and exceptional circumstances do sometimes occur, we are ambitious in our aim to support every child to attend school every day. We hope that you will work with us to ensure your child/children receive the best opportunity to achieve their full potential by trying to attend school on time, every day.

At Woodham Walter C of E Primary we have set our whole school attendance target at 96.4%.

This is how we are doing so far:

Unless there are exceptional circumstances, a request for leave of absence will not be authorised and could result in a fine issued by the Local Authority. A key threshold is 10 unauthorised sessions in 10 weeks – This equates to 5 days, either individually or as a continuous absence.
